Aquilano.Rimondi’s Spring 2012 ready-to-wear collection is my favorite of the Milan collections; something about the feminine details and colors appeals to me. Pastel colors are intermixed with stronger colors and prints, similarly to the way that sheer, flowing fabric is juxtaposed with heavier, shapelier fabric.
Each piece of the collection held some sort of embellishment, be it embroidery, prints, appliqué or belts. Despite the elaborate designs on the clothes, the structure and flow of each gave them a clean feel. The clothes work for varied occasions, such as formals, work, or parties. Though some may feel that most of the collection is too much for everyday, I would actually love to wear some of the designs.
